Scrimshaw Fish

Title: Scrimshaw Fish
Size: 8" x 6"
Media: Oil pastels

Sorry about not uploading art for a bit! Life got pretty hectic for a while. I completed this piece of art about two weeks ago for an art show. I enjoyed creating this, and I know that there are mistakes but it is hard to erase the lines drawn by a nail. I also made this without any references! I'm so proud of myself. :-)

Week 10: Final Project

Picture 1 Title: Venice, Italy
Picture 2 Title: Milan Canal
Picture 3 Title: Sea-side Positano
Size: 11" x 15"
Media: Watercolor

Here is my final project! Three pictures of Italy, all done in watercolor. Now, I know that there are a lot of mistakes. But the main reason why is because I procrastinated and I gave myself only a few days to complete them. I regret doing that and I now see how bad work is when it is rushed. Oh well, now I know!

Week 6: Landscape Watercolor Sketch

Title: Down by the Lake
Size: 10" x 6"
Media: Watercolor
I'm sorry that this is a bit late! This is my second full watercolor painting (even though it's supposed to be my first) and I enjoyed it almost as much as my first one! The difference with this one and my other one was that I didn't follow a picture for this one, so I apologize if there are mistakes. I did the picture as I went along. First, the sky, then the hills, then the girl, then the trees, then the lake...you get my point.

Week 7: Watercolor Painting Finished

Title: Japanese Landscape
Size: 15" x 11"
Media: Watercolor  I really enjoyed doing this watercolor project! There were a few things which annoyed me to death such as trying to get everything correct, which I'm not even sure I did. It was fun and I hope to continue and improve with watercolors!

Week 6: Photo Drawing

Title: Unknown
Size: 15"x11"
Media: Pencil
Here is the contour line drawing for the watercolor painting I am going to do! I know that it is cut off, but this was the best non blurry picture I could get. Also, I didn't realize how detailed this is going to be until I started to draw it out! I hope that this goes well for me and I know that there is going to be a lot of layers. Wish me luck!

Week 5: Watercolor Color Wheel

Title: Elemental Color Wheel
Size: Unknown
Media: Watercolor
This was fun! I really enjoy working with watercolor! I was trying to think of something interesting to do, so I decided on the elements. I would look better if I didn't decided to try to do it last minute. Oh well, that's what I get for procrastination, so no more procrastinating for me!

Week 4: Painted Abstract Art

Title: Skyward symbol
Media: Acrylic paint
Size: Unknown
It was...interesting to do this. It took me a lot longer to do than I expected, because I was going in no direction while painting. It is fun to do Abstract, but as you can tell, I didn't achieve much. I usually have the final product in mind, and with abstract I find that difficult. It is a good way to relive stress though!
